    Simultaneously as VW was launching their all new Routan minivan, their appeared to be the begginings of a full on baby boom. Brooke Shield's partnered up with VW and began campaigning across the nation and pleading people not to have babies just for German Engineering. As part of the effort, the Babymaker 3000 was created to allow people to see what their future children would look like.

    VW.com MOTORSPORTS

    ART DIRECTOR // DESIGNER

    To help increase awareness and dispell myths about diesel technology, VW created an all new SCCA sanctioned autocross category for Jetta TDI vehicles. In full race trim and racing around the track at 80-100 mph the Jetta's managed to still maintain a respectable 24 MPG. To follow the race season VW asked for a website to be housed on VW.com acting as a hub for all the series statistics.

    With the release of BK's new Steakhouse Whopper, consumers found the need to justify being worthy of eating a sandwich of it's magnitude. To support the campaign, toospecial.com was created to allow people to create prrof of their worthiness. By uploading a photo and inputing some information a custom news story was generated which then allowed the user to anonymously upload to youtube as proof.

    DOMINO'S WIDGET

    As a tool to help ease the minds of anxiously awaiting costumers, we created the Domino's widget. A cross platform AIR application which users could install and keep on their desktops giving them access to track their pizza's status without having to open their browsers.

    UPS, DHL, FED-EX, USPS, all these delivery experts allow you to track your package from order to your doorstep. As masters of delivery, why shouldn't Domino's do the same? Created by hooking into Domino's PULSE system users who order pizzas are able to track and realtime every step of their pizza delivery right down to arriing at their door. Let's see your ebay shipment give you that much detail.

    DOMINO'S BFD BUILDER

    To help put their customer's at ease while promoting their new Big Fantastic Deal, we created the Domino's BFD builder. A fully interactie Pizza builder allowing users to see their customized pizza's as they built them. On top of being able to see their pizza's users were also able to register their creations and uniquely name their pizza creation.

    To counteract rising road rage on Canadian streets, we saw the perfect oppuritunity to market VW's new City Golf and Jetta. Prompting user's to go out and commit a random act of kindness, VW would reward their documented act with a discount towards the purchase of a vehicle. To see the campaign we spent a month traveling across canada documenting our own acts of kindness.

    SIMPSONIZEME.com

    Simpsonizeme.com was a crossbranding experience between The Simpson's Movie, and BK. Throught he site users were able to upload photos of themselves which would be scanned for facial features and a upon answering a few simple questions, a Simpsons character would be created in their likeness.

    COKE ZERO MCR

    As part of the "My Coke Rewards" inccentive users are prompted to visit the Coke Zero site and input thier codes found under the caps of purchased beverages. When enough points are collected the user would be able to make purchases from their store. To refresh the interface, we tried to give the feeling of interaction with a Coke Zero vending machine. The user would input his/her code on the selection pad, and have the ability to claim rewards from tiers within the machine.

    WOLFSONIAN REDESIGN

    Concept for a website redesign of the Wolfsonian Museum in Miami FL. The Wolfsonian museum contains a huge database of images and information regarding their entire collection, yet they currently had no way of accessing it via their current site. The intent of the redesign was to make searching through the site feel as though you were wandering through a phyiscial museum stumbling upon related information.
  • WHO AM I

    Ken Slater hails from Somers, Connecticut, where there is little to do other than labor in a manual fashion and take things apart. This boredom lead him to an insatiable need to know how things work and to be doing work at all times. Both desires have served Ken well in his position as an Interactive Associate Creative Director at Crispin Porter + Bogusky, where he specializes in design, development, and "making shit happen." His work has collected a few shiny acknowledgements along the way, such as Clios, Pencils, ANDYs, and Lions. However, Ken's favorite shiny things are Camaros and the television show COPS even though the only thing that's shiny are the badges. He currently resides in Boulder, Colorado with two women. He's living the dream.
